Labor in the Eighties
In the past decade labor has been on the defensive. Lured by foreign plants and non-productive investments, major industries have been losing up shop or demanding major concessions from workers around the country. The impact of these pressures, and the labor organizing that has resulted, are seen in segments of programs such as "The Canterbuty Tale in The Coal Fields", a story of a plant closing in Pittsburgh, and "The American Connection", an examination of the economic relationship between US corporations and workers in South Africa.
